Barrister seems to be quite powerful than solicitors but next step important thing is, validity of the evidence, excellent presentation and negotiation skills over the issue.Jambo wrote:see here

An person may be qualified as both but would only practice as one or the other at any given time.
However individuals usually instruct a solicitor who may then instruct a barrister to go to the court or tribunal or may instruct the barrister for advice. Barristers are not usually directly instructed by individuals and they do not prepare applications or make direct representations to the other party. Solicitors are able to appear as advocates before tribunals and some will also be qualified solicitor advocates meaning they also have rights of audience in the high court for example.

Some barristers who have undertaken the Public Access Scheme course, may be able to give advice and take instructions from members of the general public. Although in most cases, the person will be required to initiate the litigation or appeal, and if the case is of a complex nature, the barrister may refuse to take it without a solicitors.
Barristers tend to be more expensive than solicitors, although there are some that a more passionate about their jobs and charge considerably less than solicitors.
