Hi,

My friend is an indian national. He is a student. His visa is going to expire on 31 Aug 2011.

Last month, he married a Slovakian National who is working as a self-employed cleaner.

Now my friend want to apply for residence permit. For this he has the following queries;

1. Do he need to fill EEA2?

2. Is there any fees he needs to pay?

3. The girl does not has her passport. In fact she just has her ID card. Will this document be OK to send with their application?

4. He is planning to include his bank statement, his passport, ID card of his wife, marriage certificate, marriage pictures album, wife's contracts for cleaning job, payment receipt book, accountant letter about managed accounts, health insurance for both of them, photographs and documents showing prove of address. Will these set of documents be sufficient or need to include some more?

5. How much time it takes for the application to decide?

6. Is it wise to go for PEO for this type of visa?

7. If he delayed his application and his visa expires, will this class him as over stayer, rendering his application rejected?

Yes,He need to fill EEA2 form,
There is no fee for this application from ukba.
Her ID card is enough,dont need her passport.

it takes normally upto 4 months but it can take upto 6 months.

UKBA does not process the same day service,So you have to send it by post.

Agree, something doesnt smell right. how long has your "Friend" known this person for before he decided to take the plunge, he should have checked first if she had a valid passport or not before marrying her .

Well they have meeting each other for the past 1 year. She has already told my friend that she is her on her ID card. As they don't need passport, so she has not made one.

One more thing, they both have one common language...Queen's English

Some of the comments in this thread are bizare. Most people do not go checking the passport/ID card of their fiance before marrying.

In any case, an ID card issued to a citizen of an EU member state is all that person needs to be in the UK.

This is way over the top - nothing marked in bold is needed. They are married. They need to provide their marriage certificate. End of story.

She is self employed. As such she does not require health insurance other than NHS. And so neither does he.

Clearly the Sarcasm went unnoticed
