EEA2 For Non EEA Parent - Dependency Requirement

Hello,
I'm an EU national with ILR and working in the UK for the last 8 years. I would like my Dad who is not an EU national to join my family here in the UK as I'm his only daughter.
I'm afraid I would have difficulty proving that he was financially dependent on me in the last 8 years as we used to give him a lump sum in cash when we went to visit.
He would be living with me and financially dependent on me if he moves to the UK.
Would this be enough? or is it quite likely that our application will be rejected because I cannot prove dependency before him arriving in the UK?
Thanks
Kind Regards
Luiza
