hi all,

since may 2011, I applied for permanent residency as a divorced non eea family member. received COA a couple of later but nothing since. this is really hard to wait on.

P.S i have followed all the necessary steps in the application procedure. I was married for 6 years.

Have you called HO and asked the progress of your application. Also did you Retain you Rights of reisdence first or was it a direct application for PR.

I would advise you to contact the call centre and try to get an update

Thanks bobobo,

I did this with a law firm and their cover letter stated that I should retain the right to remain in the country.
I spoke to the law office last week but they are telling me that they will get in contact with me once they hear anything. I am really worried. because my life is on hold!!!!!!

What exactly is your question? A waiting period of 4 months is not unusual. Legally, they have 6.

Just wondering if it took that long even though they said 6 months and what is the likelihood of being granted PR once it took that long/ thanks

It would be utter nonsense to correlate waiting time with the chance of confirmation (or refusal). Your case is as likely to be approved now as it was four months ago and will be, say, two months from now.
