Just want to know from experience here. Does HMRC document showing National Insurance contribution toward your pension be use as proof of exercising treaty right under eea route? Or is there any other document better than that if you cannot get hold of any other common documents.

In what way are you exercising treaty rights?

From my experience it works, Any document from HMRC cannot be ignored. But like plum asked what way ae the rights being exercised, if yu are working then they can check this via NI number and wageslips. If for example not working anymore the HMRC letter with NI number will help HO to do checks, you might need to send a letter though.

Thanks for the comment, am asking in a situation the eea as gain permanent residence but did not apply for confirmation from the HO but has stop working. There is no wages slip or anyother document to prove that but aletter from the last work company and HMRC document to show the past of exercising treaty right more than 5yrs.ant to know from experience here. Thanks for the comment, am asking in a situation the eea as gain permanent residence but did not apply for confirmation from the HO but has stop working. There is no wages slip or anyother document to prove that but aletter from the last work company and HMRC document to show the past of exercising treaty right more than 5yrs.

I think a letter from employer and HMRC doc should be enough for eea nationals, if they want to check they can confirrm with employer.

Can they decide not to check? And if it goes to tribuner what do you think the tribuner will say?

I would tend to think that NI contribution history alone is not enough. You can optionally pay NI even if you do not work in some cases.

You should be able to get your complete tax payment history from HMRC.

I did the same. My eea wife lost her 1st P60 so, we requested and arranged HMRC employment history letter which clearly shows the 5 years employment history including Employer name, annual salery, Tax deducions and NI details. My wife called couple of weeks ago to HO regarding the PR application status and they advice to wait two more weeks, So result expected this week.
