Hopefully your lawyer said you would be applying for a "Residence Card" and not a family permit.
For what periods have you been living with them? Is he working?

yeah my lawyer said a residency card, he is working and iv been living with them for two years plus and because i am an extended family i read a place saying that i cannot qualify as dependent unless i was dependent on him before i came to the united kingdom, and i do not know what proof of dependency to provide in my case, thanks a lot

Which of the two reflects the fact - "living with them for 2 years" or "visiting and living with them during holidays"?

There is no online application for a UK issued Residence Card that I am aware of.
