Hi guys my friend today received a RC on the basis of retention of rights but they send the same letter as before mentioning that He is still a family member of eea national and will loose the residence rights if my eea national leave the country and etc.
what should I do? In this case shall I send the letter back to HO or just keep it because next feburary 2012 he is eligible for ILR on the basis of long residence.
Please guide us.

Immediately write to them attaching copies of their bs letter and demand a corrextion. The letter u got should state the exact department and address of who dealt with it. Dont delay, act now! U should then get the correct letter
