eea residence card

am currently illegal but applied for a coa in february 2011 and did not get any reply until it was abolished , was detained by the ukba and my wife made an application for me through a lawyer for a residence card on 22 september 2011 but am still waiting for a reply
DOCUMENTS SENT:
MARRIAGE CERT, TENANCY AGREEMENT STATING WE HAVE BEEN STAYING TOGETHER FOR ALMOST 20 MONTHS ,PHOTOS ,CHRONOLOGY OF OUR RELATIONSHIP,LETTERS FROM FRIENDS CONFIRMING RELATIONSHIP,20 MONTHS PAYSLIP FROM MY WIFE,BANK STATEMENT FROM MY WIFE ,LETTER OF EMPLOYMENT FROM MY WIFE,LETTER OF SUPPORT FROM MY WIFE,PASSPORT OF MY WIFE. I HAVE BBEN WITH MY WIFE FOR 3 YEARS 6MONTHS AND MARRIED FOR 2YRS 6 MONTHS
LEGALY MARRIED FROM MY COUNTRY AND THE MARRIAGE CERT WITH THE AFFIDAVIT HAS BEEN SENT TO UKBA

WAS BAILED UNTIL 23 DECEMBER AS A RESULT OF THE DETENTION AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVE ANY LETTER IN REGARDS TO ANY DECISION MADE

MY LAWYER HAS BEEN SENDING UKBA REMINDER FOR A DECISION TO BE MADE BUT NO REPLY

WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO

They have up to six months to deal with your application, which does not run out until March this year. No need for solicitor to contact them now.

They would have sent you a Certificate of Application (COA) which i guess should allow you to work until your application is decided

as part of the bail requirements am not allowed to work and since i was released from detention around end of september i was told to be reporting to the police station until 23rd of december , have been doing so but am still not told about anything even though the bail period has end

cert of approval was not sent

That is what i believe your solicitor will need to work on.

As soon as an application has been made and the necessary documents provided indicating a valid marriage, a certificate of application should be issued within a month and reporting restriction suspended.

can still be issued with a cert of application even though my status is illegal atm

indicated the above discussion with my lawyer , thank you guys for pointing out what i can do

how long does it take on average to get the residence card,am aware of the fact that it can take up to 6months


my application has already been with ukba for almost 4 months on 22 jan 2012

i contacted my MP for help and he rang the ukba on my behalf, he was told that a decision has already been made and the ukba will contact me very soon...

hope and pray that allah makes it a good news for me

am still waiting for the reply from ukba , i rang them myself and was told the same statement as my mp, we will be in contact soon , still waiting
