EEA Family Permit renewal advice

Hi,

my name is Lorenzo, I'm writing here as I'd like to ask for some advices about mine and my wife situation, and I already say in advance many thanks to who will decide to help me.
I am an italian citizen and my wife is chilean; she won a scholarship and she's now studying in London. We moved at the middle of September, and I asked to the British embassy in Rome for her EEA Family Permit, which has been given us without any problem, being married in Italy from 25th June last year. When we moved we decided to not change the legal residence from Italy to England, as after three years we can apply for the italian passport as to avoid all this.
Now my problem regards the renewal of her permit: it's expiring in March and she still has some months left at University, and we can't of course go back to Italy. What are the possibilities? Is it possible to go back to Italy and ask again to the embassy for a second family permit? Is it possible to do it from here? We need to go on a trip in a few less than two months, how long will it take the process? I am self employed at the moment.
I'm sorry if a similar discussion has already been posted, I tried to look for but I couldn't find anything. I really much appreciate your help
Best wishes,

Lorenzo

Lorezno, are you in the UK? If so what are you doing? Are you a worker, a student or other? Your wife's status is dependent on you.

If you are a qualified person (worker, student, etc), then your wife will be allowed to study here and have residence documentation. She would apply for that in the UK.

She could apply for a family permit from any UK visa issuing centre, but they will all be outside the UK. She could apply in Italy or Australia; it won't matter.

I can't comment on your residence requirements for an Italian passport, but seek some advice elsewhere on that. Perhaps you don't need to "change your residence" for that.

Hi,
I do apologies in advance if I post in the wrong section.

Can someone advise me please:
I am married with a Polish who became British, we are married since 2010 and I have obtained the first residence card to join EEA family valid for 1 year. Then I obtained an EEA family residence card valid for 5 years.

Now my card will expire in July 2016.

What is my option?
Is it possible for me to apply for an Indefinite Leave to Remain
Or if not how can I renew my resident card

Your advise is golden and I thank you in advance for your help

Randy

It's not ILR. You can apply for a Permanent Residence card although PR is obtained automatically if your spouse has been exercising her Treaty rights throughout your 5 years residence.
https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-a-uk-resid ... dence-card

If you later qualify and decide to apply for British citizenship, a PR card will be required.
