EEA2 application via PEO Croydon

Hi guys
I travel a lot and hence, require to hold on to my passport. I cannot be without a passport for months in a raw. Last time I sent in the application and later requested a return of the passport without withdrawal of my application those UKBA eejits just sent the whole file back.
Hence is the question whether I can indeed apply for EEA1 over the counter for the same day service? If so, how do I book it? I spent a few hours yesterday trying to tease this info outta UKBA site to no avail.

Hi, the background is fairly simple - I am a self-employed and require to register under the EEA2. I have applied last year but have requested to return my passport and whereby some of the "smarter" UKBA caseworker just returned my file. There is a complaint pending but I still want to register sooner rather than later so hence is the question regarding the same day service. thank you

are you an EEA or non EEA national - you refer to EEA1 and EEA2 in your post?

your everything about residency depends upon your eea/eu national mate nothing to do with you.
so try to write everything relevant and we might help you or guide you.

OP seems to be
Irish.
There is no requirement for you to apply for EEA1. From other posts you asked about bringing your relatives over. For that, you are still not require to apply for EEA1.

I am confused. my assumption was that this is a pre-requisite to making an application to bring your other family members?!

I have just checked online service and there seems to be no appts for at least next few months. What would you advise?

your assumption is incorrect - you do not need a registration certificate in order for your family members to apply for a family permit - you just need to prove that you are exercising treaty rights.

thanks. I agree and I think I might seen smth along those lines. However I would like to divide the two tasks and go along the KISS principle, especially when it comes to rather rigid immigration procedures.
PS On the subject of EEA4, does the legal residence in the UK as a non-EU citizen counts towards permanent residence under EEA regulations? thanks
