Hello,

Sorry if this question has been answered before but for the last hour i could not find one.

I am Australian and my wife is French. We are both living in the uk as of one month.

I am in the process of filling out the eea2 form and have one question.

If my wife is looking for work. She has loads of proof to this effect do her or both of us need the insurance?

I am working currently in my own company that’s been operating for 9 months but only grossing 750 a month to keep monies in the business. Not sure if this has a bearing. Am i right that for this application it just goes on my wife and i can only help her in terms of self-sufficiently? I don’t want to do this as i am hoping if she is looking for work we don’t need it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jason

If your wife (the EEA national) is exercising treaty rights based on your income (rather than her own) then she is self-sufficient and will need to provide CI for both herself and you. I don't think that her looking for work as a job seeker will (after only one month in a situation where she is not even obliged to be exercising TR for the first 3 months) be suficient to see your RC granted. Wait for others to comment on this.
