hello forum, pls can someone tell me what UKBA mean by your documents are currently located within our dispatch department. i sent mail to UKBA asking about the state of your Application, and i got reply back saying your documents are currenty located within our dispatch department. please can someone tell me what they mean.

That would be the logical explanation, but in practice a lot of time seems to pass between document being ready for dispatch and actual delivery - several weeks in cases.

The dispatch department is where all the final checks are carried out to ensure documents are properly addressed to its rightful owners.This can take a considerable number of days even weeks depending on staffing and its after this that it is passed on to royalmail for deliver.

I would have thought it would be a case of sticking it in an envelope and posting it.
