Sending expired passports for EEA2

Hi guys,
I have a quick question. I'm on tier 1 visa currently and the passport that had the stamp expired. I got a new fresh passport now.

I'm applying for EEA2 in few weeks. Do I need to send my expired passport as well which have all previous stickers on it? Just in case HO wants to verify my current status in the country

Thanks a lot

Kamran.

On the EEA2 form SECTION 11 DOCUMENTS says and I quote "Your current passport. If you last entered the UK on a previous passport, please also provide this document if you have it." But I dont think you not providing you old passport will change the outcome of any decision taken by the HO.All the best

A valid passport is what is required.

What could UKBA want to verify from your expired passport? They know your current status in the country, because they issued the tier 1 visa and know how long it is valid, etc. Furthermore your immigration history is irrelevant for the EEA2 application.

With EEA2 they want a valid passport to put the Residence Card in. So send in your new passport (as everybody else also advised already), but keep the old one with yourself.

Only send the current passport. No need for the other. UKBA can only loose it or something similar. Plus it may save you 5p of postage!
