6 months wages slips for UK spouse visa

Post by abz789 » Wed Jan 29, 2014 11:35 pm

Hi, I hope someone can guide me on this one.

I am a British citizen and married to a non-EU citizen for the last 4 years. We were living abroad (in Pakistan) for the last 4 years and have two kids (both British Citizen as I am British).

I have returned back to the UK 2 weeks ago and found a job (Software Engineer) at a salary of 38000 GBP. My wife needs to apply for a spouse visa but I have been reading that I must show last 6 months wages slips even though I have got a permanent job and a salary of 38K.

It is really hard to live away from kids and wife for 6 months and wait for 6 wages slips before applying for a visa.

Can you kindly advise me if home office will still accept application if I show them 1-2 months wages slips with a letter from my employer that I am a permanent employee and current salary is 38K?

Thanks for any help.

Well, due to absence of 6 months wages slips, then You will have to show to UKBA a cash saving equal to requirement of spouse applicant plus two child dependents which will be GBP 18600 for main applicant and GBP 2400 x 2 = GBP 4800
18600+4800 = GBP 23400 Pounds, this amount is alternative of You 6 moths wages slips, no second option.
Goodluck..any further info you need,,just mail me. I am also a spouse applicant currently, although I have already lived in UK for 5 years.

Ahmedawan, that advice is wholly incorrect, savings alone would be over £60000. For a starter the first £16000 of savings is totally ignored. I hope you've not based your application on poor knowledge.

If you were working in Pakistan a job offer may have sufficed.

Further information is required.

I suggest the OP sees Annex FM 1.7 (click).
