Hi all
I have a strange query to make .. For self employment tax that has been paid to HMRC is there any specific documents which HMRC can give which will show that the tax has been paid . I mean is there any prof I can get from HMRC for last 2 tax years which can prove that I have paid the tax for self employment .
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Call HMRC to enquire.

Employees can request for their employment / tax history ... perhaps HMRC entertains such requests from self-employed too.

rpsarangi, you file your Self Assessment returns electronically? If so log on to your HMRC account, and there you will be able to see your "tax account", including details of payments made.

But I have to ask, why are you concerned about proving tax has been paid? What application are you just about to make to UKBA?
