Hi Currently I am working as a software developer on permanent contract basis from NHS and they sponsored me TIER 2 General visa .So I applied to tier 2 general visa from my psw visa (which has expiry on APR 2014) on DEC 2013 and I got it on 24/01/2014 Which is valid from 24/01/2014 TO 14/04/ 2017 and current pay is 23,000£ p/A.
Then after 14/04/ 2017, I would like to extend my visa with the same company. If I do apply for my tier 2 general visa again on APR 2017..How long they would extend my visa ???? and also can someone else suggest me that am I eligible or not for applying ILR visa after my second extension ie from APR 2017 to APR 2019?????
Also can some one PLEASE suggest me that how long I can stay in uk on Tier2 general visa and salary requirements needed to switch from tier2 general to ILR...
Thanks in advance....

you can stay for max 6 years on the T2G visa and will need a new CoS for the extension

you are eligible to apply for ILR 5 years after you had your initial T2G visa but note that your salary at the time of the application will have to be min £35.5k.

depending when you came to the UK first you may also be eligible to apply under the 10 year long residence rules if you can stay that long - then the above salary threshold will not apply

Hi Manci..thanks a lot for getting back to me, I would like to mention that I did come to uk on 13/09/2009 for my masters..As I mentioned above I got my first Tier2 general extension from 24/01/2014 TO 14/04/ 2017 and am not sure how many years I do get for my second extension.. could you please suggest me that how many years I can extend my visa for my second Tier 2 general extension..if it is 2years then it would be from 14/4/2017 to 14/4/2019 ..that means I am 5 months short of 10 years ...is it possible to get 3 years visa for my second Tier 2 extension ie from 14/4/2017 to 14/4/2020....if so am I eligible for ILR....
Thanks in Advance..
