Is NHS free (after April 15) if you're on spouse visa?

Hi everyone. My question is - if you already got a spouse Visa last year and so did not pay the new immigration surcharge and you are in the UK now, will you be charged for any NHS treatment. I heard that since APril 2015 you would need ILR to get free treatment, otherwise they will bill you for any treatment. Is this correct? Thanks if anyone knows.

You "heard"?
Where did you hear this? You should ask for references and confirmation from whoever you heard this from.

The 'advice' you have been given in incorrect. You are currently entitled to NHS treatement, but when you extend your visa you will have to pay the surcharge.
