Properties bought in india

Hi All
Just wondering if anyone could give advice. how do we go about the properties we buy back home in india in regards to declaring to the income tax department in india. obviously all the properties are bought from the money transfer from UK and tax had been paid in the UK.

do we need to voluntarily declare the properties to the IT dept?

Note currently on ILR visa in the UK.
