Hi ,

I would like to know medical process for parents visiting UK.
Are they eligible to go to GP/Hospital just in case if required ?

They are suppose to get medical insurance from India itself ?
If yes anyone aware of good medical insurance from India?

Thanks,
Manish Bhushan

Visitors are not entitled to free NHS. They will be charge at private patient rates and will have to pay for ALL treatment/medicines/hospital visits they receive (even chronic medicines).

For future visitor visas, they would need to make sure they answer the particular question honestly about NHS care used and provide the receipts if they have used NHS services previously.

They should have medical insurance in place before they travel to the UK.

follow the link in the above post and pick the first non advert, used them every time pretty cheap and give good cover and most towns have any office that can do this for them, you should also be able to do it on line too!

For non-emergency treatment at an NHS facility, they may be charged 150% under 7(3).
