Asylum seeker driving licence revoked

I'm and asylum seeker and been here for 9 and half years, today i received a letter from DVLA saying my licence is revoked because Home Office informed them I am not lawfully resident in the UK. I have practical test pass certificate and I used to drive. My question is once i get my resident permit does it mean I have to pass theory and practical test again or can I reapply for the full licence using my practical test certificate again?
