Hi all,

I have got the same query as well.

I have lived in UK for 6 years and thinking of leaving UK permanently.

My query is can the over paid tax only be claimed or the tax which I ahve paid for the whole year.

Is there anything really exist.

What is the procedure. Please help me.

Thanks.

To avoid confusion & jumbled responses, I have moved your question to its own thread (this one).

You would only be able reclaim any overpaid tax. It's the P85 form you'll need to complete.

You can use the form R38 to reclaim tax on the link below

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -claim-r38

This will allow an appointed representative to receive the refund or yourself whichever is the easier for you. Any calculation will be based on the tax you have paid in the tax year you leave the UK.
