You will need to do your own research based on your circumstances and job location etc.

There are many rent a room websites, most popular being spareroom dot co dot uk. I hope you are not planning on only renting a room for the whole family?? The government has restrictions on overcrowding in properties. You could also try openrent dot co dot uk.

Be mindful of the fact that if you plan on eventually getting ILR and Citizenship, you would need some integration into British society, rather than just staying within your own nationality citizens and culture.

As for schools, you need to do research here as the process of school placements is very different and mostly allocated once you apply through the local council.

Accommodation and transport are your most expensive monthly costs in the UK. There is no such thing as 'low budget' unless being exploited by landlords cramming up to 30 people in a single property, which is also being clamped down by councils.

CR001 has answered mainly your all question. Since I have quite a lot of Indian friends in Glasgow I can help you with little bit.

There is building on Wallace Street ( opposite to House of Sher ) google it. There are alot of Indians living there. Probably 30% of the building are now Indians there

Google youll find what'sapp groups for Indians in Glasgow as well.

The rent is around £650 + £250 Council + other bills etc

You'll have find ou the nearest school/nursery yourself. There is no "GOOD" schools here in the UK. All the schools follow same curiculum.

If you are planning to live with kids then I'd say you'll end up spending at least £1500-£2000 so keep that in mind. I hope it was useful.

Maybe also have a look into the Govanhill and Polloskshields areas of Glasgow, they are not too far off from Wallace Street and maybe slightly cheaper overall.

There is definitely variety of foods and at mostly low cost, not sure about the rent in these areas, but the general idea is, the closer you are to the city centre the more expensive it gets.

Again Glasgow is a very diverse city, even I get surprised and have that ''oh, yeah, iv never seen that" moment. 😁
