Good evening all.

Just a few questions for when my spouse arrives in the country.

How long is it before she can:

1. open a bank account
2. get her national insurance number
3. apply for a provisional driving licence.

Thanks

Once she arrive then she need to collect her BRP from local postoffice and then she can apply all 3 at any time. Usually the bank account need some proof of address such as utility bill or driving licence, national insurance number requires job offer or job seeking proof and first provisional driving licence need original passport to send.

Bank account can get opened straight away if your are going for joint account. once you have got joint account then after it will be easy for her to get her own bank account opened.

NI and Provisional Driving Licence could take up to 3 weeks.

I will suggest you apply for Provisional Driving licence first then Bank account and NI.
Because She will need UK id for Bank account and NI number.

For NiNo(National Insurance)it will take min of 6 to 8 weeks depending how busy they are and to get an appointment is minimum two weeks if lucky.
She will have to take your id with her and your proof of address for them to give her one.

2.For provisional she will need NiNo to get one and once she has the NiNo and applies she will need to send her brp as identification.
