FLR(M) eligible for UK backpacker travel insurance?

Post by Spark » Mon Nov 22, 2010 3:44 pm

My unmarried partner is now here on a 2 year FLR(M). Would she be eligible for a UK-based backpacker travel insurance policy or would she still need to subscribe to a policy designed for citizens of her home country.

We only ask because travel insurance where she comes from is a lot more expensive but I know that a lot of the UK insurers will repatriate for treatment as opposed to paying the foreign hospitals of some countries.

Your partner can purchase insurance from UK-based providers.
