Nature of work for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent/Promise holders

Hello,
I am currently on Tier 2 but thinking of switching to Tier 1 exceptional talent by the end of the year or early next year when my current visa will be due for renewal. The major reason for this is the flexibility of changing jobs on the same visa that comes with Tier 1 visa
I want to know the nature of jobs I can do wth Tier 1 exceptional talent/ exceptional promise.
I got this information from HO website
"What you can and can’t do
You can:
1. work - for an employer, as a director of a company or be self-employed
2. change jobs without telling the Home Office
3. do voluntary work
4. travel abroad and return to the UK
5. bring family members with you"

Does that mean I can only work at the level of a director or self-employed?

Can I work for an emloyer as for example An Engineer or Senior Scientist or any other title not at director level.

Looking forward to your responses.

It would seem you can be an employee. They would seem to be options listed. You certainly don't have to be a company director; that would be a very small minority.
