Tier 1 Exceptional Talent processing times

Hi all!
July 19th - My application for endorsement had been received by the Arts Council.
August 16th – I have been granted the endorsement. I have applied for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visa the same day.
August 18th - I gave my biometric data in Moscow TLScontact visa centre.
August 21st - I got an email saying that my application has been received by UK Visas & Immigration
August 30th - I got an email saying that my application has been received at the UK Decision making centre in Sheffield. The email address is VISAINFO.SHEFO@fco.gov.uk.
September 5th - I have made a request to escalate my case.
No news since then..
I heard from my lawyer and also from the UKVI call centre that it normally takes about 3 weeks, so I just wondering if anyone has an idea why it might take so long?
