Hi all respected members,

I am trying to get information about tier 1 exceptional talent. I am currently on Tier 2 since 2014. I want to setup my own business in Cloud services which is booming right now. I have few questions if you guys help me with these?

1) My Profile: I did 4 years hons degree in Computer Science. After my Graduation I did job as Software Engineer around 1.5 years with International Employer. I moved UK for my Masters degree. I did Masters in Computer Science. I got few courses in Data Communication which really inspired to take this as my career. I done CCNA and started job here in UK with one employer as tier 2. Its been three years now working in Networking and worked all big names in UK which can recommend me. I am currently studying CCNP, AWS Cloud. More focusing on building automation system through Python. Could anyone tell if my profile can be endorsed by Techcity? either established or promised leader.
2) My 2nd concern is, as we have two steps in Tier 1 Exceptional Talent. Stage 1 is to get endorsed from TechCity in any case if I get unsuccessful on stage one. Does it effects my current tier 2 visa?
3) Does my employer will be contacted during stage 1? As I am not sure if I would get endorsed So I dont want to be in trouble with my current job?

Hi, My feedback on the points you listed.
1. Your profile looks interesting as a digital technology specialist. Cloud/AWS/automation are interesting areas. But your application success depends on evidences that you can provide .. either to show that you are an established leader within these domain or if you can prove you can be. You need to include publicly acknowledged work.. ex. you have any publications, your work was highlighted in some journal, industry leaders (who are well established) can endorse your work if you did something as part of your current job, etc. Please follow the detailed guidance from TechCity on what proofs you can submit.. there is a lot, especially since you have done recent certifications, courses you can include them (if completed in last 1 year from date of application).

2. Your current Tier 2 visa is not impacted as a result of you not getting endorsed on stage 1.. you can try this out once you get your application ready.

3. It depends if you have submitted endorsement letters/employment letter from your employers - TechCity might contact to check if you are really working for them.. but this type of enquiry will only happen if you submit documents detailing where you work, what you do .. as part of your stage 1 application. If you get endorsed its also good for your employer - they dont have to sponsor you anymore.. they should be happy. Try to see this in a positive way!
