Team,

I have a Bachelors degree in Commerce/Accounting and Computer science management from India. I am 42 years old and have 18 years of full time work experience in Information technology industry. I have real time work experience in the following areas, Software development, Software application support, Product development, Project Management. All above experience was gained as a Employee for a billion dollar IT company in India as full time employee.

My question is am I eligible under Exceptional Talent visas. Considering my age and degree, where can I validate if I am qualified for Exceptional Talent visas.

Thanks
mj

Nothing exceptional there. I think what they are looking for is real experts with published works, and notable awards.

Hi, I would strongly recommend that you follow the TechCity Guidance on what documents they recommend to submit for endorsement application. I am sure in your 18 years of experience you must have done some great things.. please help them put on paper - get it endorsed by leaders/experts in your fields. If you have some publications, awards and recently completed study (from last 1 year) .. that will help to make your case strong.
Also getting endorsement from people at CxO level within your field (Preferably digital domain).. will positively contribute to your application. Make sure you prepare your statement of purpose based on guidance supplied by Tech City UK. You need to give practical examples of how you have contributed to growth of digital sector, what value you can add in this sector, etc. Support what you write with evidences (these could be from your work experience).. Based on your seniority.. I am sure you must have coached/mentored .. use that as evidence.

Hope this helps.

thanks,

Hello tier2ICT_ES,

Appreciate the positivism in your response. Your genuineness & humble attitude is indeed reflected in your response.
Adjectives apart though honest, I have a query - What does Tech city defines Digital as:
1. Projects or programs dealing with mobile applications, IOT etc
2. Does web based projects too come into this category?
3. Or anything different from the above 2 perspectives mentioned.

Hi Abhi,

Yes, both points that you mentioned will be considered as digital by Tech City UK given that you can demonstrate(with evidence) that you have mastered in either in Technical/business or both skills as per mentioned on page 4 & 5 of the guidance @ http://www.techcityuk.com/wp-content/up ... 017-V5.pdf

Please note that customer experience management is a major part of providing digital experience to users (irrespective of domain) - so anything related to mobile application/web would be good. Please have a look at the skill table - this is very important for you to figure out what skill's you would like to base your endorsement application on.

It would be great to hear if you went forward on this, and if you had any success?

I'm in a similar position, and wondered what the odd's of success would be.
