Hi All

How long Raeng takes to provide a decision on the endorsement. I applied within the UK and it's been 7 weeks since I received acknowledgement and URN from home office.

Thank you.

Thank you so much.
I have got endorsed as an exceptional promise.
Yes please, do post your outcome. I would definitely love to know that. This platform was indeed useful for me to know the timelines and experiences of others.

Good luck.

I’m slightly confused on how to apply for endorsement via Royal society.
Can you please brief me the procedure?

Hi

Please go to this link

https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/next

Register yourself and fill up the application. Get one recommendation from any eminent person in your field. Once the application is complete submit it and pay the fee you will receive a checklist. Next, you have to send the checklist with CV and recommendation letter by post to the given address. That's all from your side.
I hope it will help you.

Hi
I don't remember it very accurately, but I think it's within 2 weeks you need to send the documents to the home office.

Hello shri30,

I want to find out about the recommendation letter. I have someone who is ready to write the letter for me. He is a British citizen and a researcher presently working in Germany. Please do you think he his qualified to write the recommendation letter?

Hi

As per the criteria mentioned on royal academy tier 1 visa guideline any eminent person who is resident in the UK and familiar with your work can write you a letter of support. Honestly, I am not sure if a British person living in Germany would qualify that criteria or not. I would suggest trying to find someone who is residing in the UK just to ignore the confusion.
Wish you luck with your application

Hi Shri,

I had submitted my application to RAE for Exceptional Promise category and received URN on 29th OCT.

Could you please help with two queries:

1) Does URN confirms that your application meets the requiremen0t for the category?

2) it's been 29 days from the day received URN, hence I was considering checking the application's status with HomeOffice (ExceptionalTalentEndorsements@homeoffice.gov.uk). I had checked some previous posts you checked the status with them as well as it was beyond 25 working days.

Kind regards,

Hi

1. Getting the URN number simply means that your file is forwarded to the DCB for consideration. I think its DCB who check the eligibility for applied category.
2. Yes, you are right I was waiting for the response for quite a long time, then I decided to check with them. And they send me the endorsement letter in response to my email.

Let me know if you have any other related query.

I hope you get a positive response soon.

you don't need to apply separately for Royal Academy, it is the same process. The royal academy is one of the DCB only, you choose it while completing the application for stage-1.

Hi Shri,

Appreciate your help on this topic,

I had e-mailed home office a week ago and they replied that they haven't received a reply from RAEng yet, but they have chased RAEng for the endorsement status for my application.

I am wondering, did you chase RAEng or Homeoffice @ (ExceptionalTalentEndorsements@homeoffice.gov.uk)?

I was thinking should I chase Home-Office again or shall I wait for them to come back with a reply since it's been 40 days already.

Kind regards,

Hi D_social

I have checked the status with the home office (not RAEng) on the same email id from which I have received a URN.
Its been indeed a long wait for you, very similar to my case.
If you checked with the home office already, I would say give them some time to get back to you(i know its tough). This is the last working week before Christmas break, I hope they inform you of the outcome by the end of this week.

best of luck

Hi Shri,

What were the items listed on your checklist generated at the end of your stage 1 application?

Was there a request for 10 items of evidence for your application? Or just 2 items i.e. letter of reference and CV?

Hi Gcoast,

it depends on the designated body, Tech Nation and Royal Academy of Eng. are different and require a different set of documents to be sent.

Regards.

Thanks for the response Gcoast. It’s Royal Society and I’ve confirmed that it’s just 2 documents.
