Documentation for employers

Hello,

Is the BRP card the only documentation needed to show employers that you're under this visa? My new employer has never seen someone with this visa type before and are a bit confused on what my exact work restrictions are.

I've given them a copy of my BRP which says "T1 Migrant" on it, but is there anything else I can request from the Home Office which shows my visa type and the work restrictions attached to it?

Thank you

HI
Usually, BRP is sufficient to prove your right to work in the UK, but in case you want to clarify the restrictions you can follow this link and put your BRP number on it. It will show all the details.

You could direct the employer to the official UKVI website, link below too.

What you can and cannot do
You can:

work - for an employer, as a director of a company or be self-employed
change jobs without telling the Home Office
do voluntary work
travel abroad and return to the UK
bring family members with you

You cannot:

get public funds
work as a doctor or dentist in training
work as a professional sportsperson or sports coach
