Tier 2 (General) to Global Talent - Dependent Status

I am recently endorsed by Royal Engineering as a Global Talent (Exceptional Promise). I am applying to Stage 2 and will switch from Tier 2 (General) to Global Talent Visa (3 years visa). My wife and child are PBS dependent and their visa will expire in Sept 2024. Should I switch my wife and child visa as well? or they can stay on same visa. Any issues if we travel abroad?

I am almost in your same situation.

1. Royal Academy of Engg exceptional promise.
2. Switching from Tier 2 to GTV for 3 years visa
3. My wife is on Tier 4, and I don't plan to switch her yet.

I think your dependents have to switch to GTV dependents. Their old Tier2 PBS dependent visa will not be valid when the main applicant's PBS visa ceases, as per the PBS dependent guidance.
