HI,

I have applied for Global Talent Visa stage 2 under promise criteria.

I have paid IHS for 5 years and applied for 5 years.

The application approval email stated that the visa is valid till until 7 Sep 2025 (5 years).

But today I received the BRP and it has valid date only till 31 Dec 2024.
Extract from the approval mail is as follows: -
'If you think an error has been made
If you think an error has been made on your BRP, for example the length of leave granted, or your conditions, you can ask for an Administrative Review. You have 14 days from when you receive your BRP to apply for an administrative review.

However the above link states that i need to mail... I am totally confused if i need to mail or apply for administrative review(with form etc). Anyone has suffered the same. Please advice what is the best course of action.

31st December 2024 is the date that was set by the EU for all biomteric documents (brps and passports) to be updated with more enhanced security features.

It is not an error.

You simply renew the brp card closer to card expiry date.

However, as an visa holder how should I have known this? Is there anywhere I could have read about this and the procedure the renew at later date.

I am sure they would have stated somewhere that even if one is elibigle to work till any date later than 31st Dec 2024 (In this case 7th Sept 2025), his or her BRP will show valid until date of 31st Dec 2024 and that it needs renewed near the date.

Besides, when i try to prove the Prove the right to work on https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work -- it does not give any details and shows error message.

If your BRP expires on 31 December 2024
You do not need to tell UKVI if your BRP expires on 31 December 2024 but you have leave to stay longer.

UKVI will update their information on how to update your BRP in early 2024. You do not need to do anything and your immigration status will not be affected.

Thanks for raising this important matter. What will happen to dependants visa application then who will apply after main applicant? Should they mention in application the expiry till 31 Dec,2024 or the actual expiry mentioned in email which is September 2025 in my case too for GTV?
Secondly, what will happen to IHS payments, should it be paid to expiry mentioned over the email (Sep, 2025) or the one reported on BRP i.e., 31 Dec 2024.

2. You mention actual visa expiry date.

The thread was related so I posted and didn't know such minute regulations TBH.
Mine is 11th Sept, 2025.
