Global Talent Dependent visa extension after the main applicant granted ILR

Hi Everyone!

I was granted ILR a few weeks ago via the Global Talent visa route. But my wife has only been in the UK for a year and 8 months. Her Global Talent dependent visa expires in July, 2022.

I filled out the application here https://www.gov.uk/global-talent/your-p ... d-children

After completing the application form, the portal redirects to the IHS payment page. Which requires information about 'The person you're joining or remaining with'; including selection of a 'visa route'. And the options available are

Dependant
Discretionary Leave
Further Leave to Remain - FLR
Further Leave to Remain Human Rights and Other claims - FLR(HRO)
Further Leave to Remain Immigration Rules - FLR(IR)
Further Leave to Remain Other - FLR(O)
Global Business Mobility
V Global Talent
Graduate
Graduate Dependant
High Potential Individual
Hong Kong British National Overseas
Innovator
International Sportsperson
Intra-Company Route
PBS Dependant (Global Talent)
PBS Dependant (Tiers 1, 2 and 5)
Skilled Worker
Start-Up
Student
Temporary Work
Tier 1
Tier 2
Tier 2 PBS Dependant
Tier 4
Tier 5

'ILR' is not one of the options. What option should I select?

It also asks for an expiry date of my visa; should I enter 07/2022, which is my GTV's expiry date; or should I put my ILR expiry date, or a fictitious date that is 3 years from the expiry date?

We will be indebted if someone could kindly guide us in this regard.

Yes

If your wife's application is successful she will get a mandatory 3 year extension. As for ILR she has to clock up 5 years continuous residence in the UK she'll need a further extension in 2025

Thank you for your kind reply.

When I enter the expiration date of my GTV, i.e. 07/2022 (which is also the expiration date of my wife's dependant visa), the IHS amount due is only £312.

Will I receive an email from the UKVI asking me to pay the remaining IHS amount for the next two and a half years?

Kind regards,

Sumit

It is based on whatever your last COS details are.
Hi,

I was granted ILR a few weeks ago via the Global Talent visa route. But my wife has only been in the UK for a year and 8 months. Her Global Talent dependent visa expires in July, 2022.

I filled out the application here for extending her visa. https://www.gov.uk/global-talent/your-p ... d-children

After completing the application form, the portal redirects to the IHS payment page. Which requires information about 'The person you're joining or remaining with'; including selection of a 'visa route'. And the options available are

Hi Sumit, did you manage to get an answer?

I'm in a similar situation. I have an ILR (although I entered on a Tier 2 General 8 years ago) and my wife is applying for her spouse visa. Therefore for the "person you're joining..." section, I have selected "Visa Route = Settlement". However the options for "Visa Type" are as follows and none of these make sense

1.Child or other dependant of settled person
2.Civil Partnership
3.Exercise the right of access to a child
4.Family reunion - other dependant relative
5.Family reunion - unpder part 11 asylum
6.Husband
7.Parent, grandparent, and other dependant relative
8.Post flight - non settled person
9.Unmarried partner
10.Wife

What should I do?
