Hello everyone, I currently hold a Skilled Worker visa and work with an engineering consulting firm. I completed my PhD in electrical engineering and spent two years in the UK. Now, I'm considering switching to a Global Talent visa with the support of an HR-backed letter from a new company.

Is this possible?

My future job will not be too much into research rather it consultancy.

You need to have a look at the requirements to apply for a Global Talent visa.
You can usually only apply for a Global Talent visa if you have successfully applied for an endorsement to prove that you are a leader or potential leader.

You can apply for the visa without an endorsement if you’ve won an eligible award
Having a PhD or working as a consultant is not enough for that.
