Aoa My GTV was expiring in May 2025 (I applied initially for 2 years). I applied for the extension in Jan 2025 for 1 year (hoping that I would get extension from May 25 to May 26). Today I received the decision of extension with GTV being extended form Jan 25 to Jan 26. This mean, next year I have to apply again for 4 months extension till May 26 so that I can apply for ILR. Additionally, I was planning to extend the visa of my dependents from May 25 for one more year till my ILR but since my GTV is expiring in Jan 25. I have to apply again for them as well at that time. Any advice in this scenario? Shall I ask for the administrative review of my application to correct the visa duration? Any past similar experiences?

Visa start date is always from date of decision. The new visa start daye is not tagged onto your expiry date of the last visa.
