UK Global Talent Stage 1 - RAEng Peer Review - Recommendation Letter and Author CV Submission Query

Hi everyone,
I have submitted and paid for my UK Global Talent Endorsement Stage 1 application under the Royal Academy of Engineering peer-review route.
I have a question regarding the recommendation evidence. My recommender has provided a 3-page recommendation letter, and I also have his 2-page author CV. The GOV.UK guidance states that the recommendation letter should come with the author's CV:
https://www.gov.uk/global-talent-resear ... eer-review
In this case, should I merge the recommendation letter and the author's CV into one PDF, with the recommendation letter first and the author's CV after it? Or should I submit only the recommendation letter, as the final document checklist does not separately mention the author's CV?
Also, the checklist says to email the checklist and supporting documents to GlobalTalentEndorsements@homeoffice.gov.uk within 15 working days. Is email submission sufficient, or do I also need to send hard copies by post?
Thanks in advance.
