Regarding career oppourtunities in UK

Hi Frnds,
I am working as s/'w engg in India for past 2.5 yrs. In would like to professional pursue my career in UK . I have been applying for jobs in UK for past 2 to 3 months but I didn't get any response till now. Could anyone of you please let me know the correct procedure like can I apply for jobs being in India or do I need to come there and if at all if I need to come there , can I find any sponsor and how can I? I am working in c,c++,vc++,mfc,win32,Unix technologies. Kindly clarify my above stated queries.

it is very difficult to find a job from india.
u need to come UK and search.
