Job prospect for .NET developer

Hi

I am landing UK in 1 week's time.

Please kindly let me know what's the job prospect now for a .NET developer and what should I expect to get with 3 yrs of experience?

Is it practical to apply jobs now from overseas or is it better to apply after landed? as I don't have any UK physical address and UK phone number yet, not sure its an obstacle in applying the job from overseas?

I might live in Oxford, is it practical to live in Oxford and work in London?
I assume the job opportunities in London would be much greater than in Oxford.
