Getting job from Australia

Hi Folks,
This is my first post to this forum. I am hoping to get HSMP by end of next month and then planning to secure a job as financial year starts in Britian (April/May) 2008.

Can somone please answer my queries?

1:- I have got 10 yrs + experience in the UNIX system Admin space, including SAN, Hardware support, Volume management, Fabric switches and wondering how easy/hard it would be to get job from Australia.

2:- I have had several trips to UK; but no working experience there; but know a lot about UK. how it would be difference in terms of working environment in UK vs AUS?

3:- I applied for a few jobs on the internet and have got very positive response; but mostly recruitment consultants are/were interested only if I am in UK. If this is the case then what will be average time period in securing a job while being in UK. Well I might have a short trip to UK (say 2 weeks).

I will highly appreciate if I receive all negative/postive responses to my question.

Just curious..why would someone want to move from Oz to the UK?

Because some of my family is already in UK.
