Employer in Germany and work in UK

Hi Guys,

I have recently got an offer from a German Company and it does not have their offices in UK. But they have their clients working there and employees of the company are working in UK, but they are in German Payroll as they don't have their regd.office in UK.

I have 2 questions

1. Does European union have a common work permit or something so that a guy who has an work permit in Germany can work in UK also?.. or do they need to get work permit in UK to work for their clients?

2.Will this pose any problem for my extension in UK(HSMP) after 2 years??? i.e i will be paid in German Currency...
