Midwifery jobs and Workpermit

Post by zhassan » Sun Jan 02, 2005 9:13 am

Hi moderators,
My wife has got 2 year lady health visitor and midwifery diploma from Pakistan after Bachelor and more than three years experience. Now we are living in Australia since last 12 months. What are the chances of getting a job(alongwith workpermit sponsorship).

We know that Health sector in UK is still lacking the skilled staff and we have got some of our family already settled in UK and interested to come UK.How NMC(Nursing & Midwifery Council) evaluates the diploma from overseas (in terms of working hours for every different subject or overall course duration)?

Does work experience also affect the evaluation for registration with NMC?All informative responses are welcomed.

TIA

There should be some 'health Agencies' recruiting Nurses/Midwifes from other countries to the UK

Obtaining a WP is quite easy for health professionals. There is also a high skills shortage...

Good Luck
