Hi all,This query is from my friend who is in India now but could not find time to get to internet at the place where he is and join this forum but needs the info about the following quickly. Any advice wouldbe helpful

"... hi, I am working in the UK on HSMP VISA. I plan to get married in the next few months and want to know if there are any special requirements under the new rules for the spouse to work in the UK? Does the masters rule apply to the spouse or partners of ppl already working in UK?

Dependents of tier-1 visa can be employed or self-employed, i.e. the spouse would have the same rights of work as the main applicant. HTH
