Struggling with two job offers. Please help me....

Post by uvnkk » Thu Nov 24, 2005 6:17 pm

Hi All,

I am on HSMP.

Recently i have received a permanent job offer. The agency that forwarded my CV to employer, asked me to confirm following draft by fax to send formal contract and I have confirmed the same. (FYI…I have also received formal contract but not yet signed)

After a daytime, I got a better job offer at different employer through different agency. Now I am really struggling to accept new job offer.

Please guide me if I go with new job offer, can the other agency do anything on me? :?:

I made my mind to go with new offer but i am lacking to convince /close the topic with previous agency. Please help me.
:( :!:
Many thanks,
Kiran Kumar

Do not do this. You can not switch to another contract after you signed first contract. At least, you HAVE to inform your first agency!!!

Were there no interviews at all? On the Agency forwarding the CV to the employer, you just got the contract / agreement?

OK. Than no problem. Just send a notice to all your previous employers, that you will get another offer. Be kind with them, do not forget to inform them.

To the person who said 'do not do this, you cannot sign another...' in fact there is legally nothing to prevent you from signing the other contract and just not turning up for the other job on your first day. Doing this is very much frowned upon and it will ruin your chances of ever working for employer no.1 again, but you can stand them up if you like. People do this all the time in fact!... although most often after a counter-offer from their existing employer.
