Citizenship and job offer

Post by stjack » Sun Aug 01, 2010 12:38 pm

It is true that people should have a British/European citizenship or they are almost impossible to find a job?

I heard from my friend about above news. Is that true in UK now?

Either that of ILR or at least a Tier 1/HSMP work permit.

Completely false - If this was true, there would not be any Tier 1 Skilled Migrants in the UK on good jobs :D
It is totally based on your profile and experience - As long as one can legally work in the UK without the need of sponsorship, you can get work here.

ILR - Indefinite Leave to Remain, commonly known as PR or Permanent Residency. Once you complete 5 yrs of stay in the UK, subject to working full time and many MANY other rules, you can get the ILR. There are no visa restrictions when you get the ILR Stamp and is the next best thing to British Citizenship
