Work permit for Canadian skilled professionals.

Hello all,

I am a Canadian citizen specialized in IT domain with +8 years of proven experience. Currently employed in Canada. I am planning to move to find a job in France.

I have already found a couple of opportunities which interests me, and the employer is willing to make an offer. But, I/the employer need to know what is the process of getting work permit? how long will it take, roughly? if I will be eligible to obtain a work permit.

Any idea/suggestions/or resources where this can be explained, will be appreciated very much.
