Spouse visa guidance - tier 1 or ILR

Post by kumarlondon » Sun Dec 15, 2013 2:35 am

Hi All

I hold a Tier 1 permit at present (not expiring soon) and am also eligible to apply for my ILR.

The question I have is should I apply for my ILR and then get married or should I get married on Tier 1 and apply for ILR once my spouse is in the UK.

Is is better for my fiance to apply for her visa with me on ILR or with me on Tier 1? Are there any regulations or repercussions I should be aware of?

She's in India at the moment and will be applying from there.

thanks
