To change or not to change surname? (FLRM)

Post by golubchik22 » Thu Mar 13, 2014 9:54 pm

Hello,

I am a non-EU national applying for the spouse visa on 21st of March and whilst naturally being ready for possible decline I am quite optimistic about the outcome.

Assuming I get my visa...

Where can I find a step by step description of how to change my surname? Do I start changing my surname in my home country? Or can I have my old surname in my Russian passport and my husband's surname in my International passport?. Any Russian nationals can help me understand this please?

I am so annoyed  by how English people pronounce my surname that I can't wait to change it to my husband's! :P

Thanks!
