Online application date vs visa centre date

Can anybody help - we are having wedding ceremony next month.
Can my wife-to-be submit on-line application for settlement as my wife now, before the official marriage? Obviously we select the time slot for submitting the paperwork at visa centre for date after the wedding..
Can UKBA be difficult and question the application ahead of marriage?

I would wait until after the marriage before putting in the online application. In the application you are stating that you are married. However, this will not actually be the case at the point of sending the online application. Chances are probably slim of it being picked up upon but I wouldn't risk it.

If you are applying for a visa for the child then yes

Thank you my wife and child will be both applying for settlement family visa, we were under impression that she can submit both application forms at the same time.
