FLR(M) Visa Help

Post by jamie177 » Tue Apr 29, 2014 1:46 pm

My wife is on an extended FLR(M) Visa, she is on her second period of 2 years to expire August 2015.
My question is will she be able to travel back to the USA for a short period of 2 weeks for her brothers wedding?
Or will this cause any problems?

For settlement, absences should be limited and for good reason. I do not see a 2 week holiday to see family being an issue. Remember, SET(M) only asks about absences that exceed 6 months.

Thanks for the advice, one other thing.
Her passport, visa and work allowed card thing is in her maiden name, should her ticket be too?
I assume you are not "automatically" regarded as your married name if nothing else (passport etc) says so.
Shall she order her ticket to match passport/maiden name etc?
And stupid question, she is American and has a US passport will she need an ESTA to travel to the usa?

She'll not need ESTA if she has a US passport. You don't need to change your name after marriage.
