visa.

Post by julieabd » Sat May 10, 2014 10:57 am

Hi am British and I recently married my Moroccan husband. I have bought a house in the UK and getting reading to start a full time job and also have a paying tenant. My husband thinks even if I meet the full financial requirements that I will have trouble getting him into the UK and wants to maybe go through Ireland instead. Am confused in what to do now any thoughts please as just want to be together.

If you want people to comment in a manner that might be helpful, you have to give precise details of your situation with regard to meeting the visa requirements and exactly what aspect of this your husband is concerned about.

How much for example will you be paid monthly in your new job? Assuming your husband doesn't have a degree taught in English, will he be able to pass the A1 pre-entry English exam? If you are renting your new property out to a tenant, do you intend to also live there with your husband?
'Going through Ireland' would require you to move the 'centre of your life' there and show residency with employment for a considerable time before re-location back to the UK with your husband under the Surinder Singh route. This has become far tougher under new regulations.
